As part of our Gods and Mortals topic the class listened to the story of Daedalus and Icarus.In science the class explored and investigated why Icarus fell from the sky.
They used some feathers adding wax to them and then placed the wax in a variety of locations- in the fridge in the oven, in the water. The recorded the results and were able to conclude that Icarus fell from the sky, having flown too close to the sun causing the wax to melt .
